Getting Started Stage One

What you should know before you start

Our business savings products are for small to medium sized enterprises (SMEs).

To be eligible to apply your business must:

  • Have 250 employees or less
  • Have a balance sheet of less than £36.5m
  • Have an annual turnover of less than £42.5m
  • Be a UK-based business established and operating in the UK
    (excluding Channel Islands, Isle of Man & Republic of Ireland)
  • Be a limited company that is registered with companies house with at least one director. You must not have more than 4 directors, or more than 2 layers of beneficial ownership, which ultimately must end in an individual
  • Have a trading history for a minimum of two years
  • Not trade with any sanctioned entities, countries or individuals
  • Not be involved in any of the activities listed here
  • Not use this savings account as a destination to hold client funds
To apply you must be a director of the business and confirm that you and any directors/beneficial owners are:
  • Residents in the UK and liable to pay tax only in the UK
  • Not US citizens

What you'll need to open an account:

  • The account number and sort code of a UK business current account. This "nominated account" must be used as the source of any money deposited with us and will also be used as the destination account of any funds withdrawn
  • A deposit of at least £20,000 to be made within 14 calendar days of the account being opened
  • To register your account online to receive important information such as account statements. We will use your online savings portal as the primary means to communicate with you. Your Privacy Matters

DF Capital holds and use personal information in accordance with the Data Protection Act 2018. DF Capital stores and uses your information to review your application, comply with regulatory requirements, manage your facilities and provide services that suit your needs. This includes verifying the identities of Linked Individuals and other information on this form through Credit Reference Agencies or other third parties. To prevent criminal activities, information captured on this form and obtained from Credit Reference Agencies or other third parties will be shared with relevant agencies who may keep a record of it.

Where additional Linked Individuals are identified as part of the verification process (e.g. undisclosed directors, Ultimate Beneficial Owners) we will process the data for the prevention and detection of crime. If criminal activity is identified, any details we hold will be passed to the relevant agencies.

The information you provide us or we obtain about you as part of our due diligence process is kept for as long as is necessary to administer any relationships that you hold with us, or for as long as regulation or the law says we have to, if that's longer.
